What the crap1?

I don't check in here often just read the emails but I am wondering if anyone has ran across this. Not only am I diabetic but I'm asthamic. Saturday I woke myself up in the middle of an attack called off work and spent the weekend doing a series of breathing treatments blah blah blah. Anyways I recently got insurence from my job yay! or so I thought. I called to make an appointment with a dr only to find out my insurence has a pre exsisting medical condtion clause. So I can only go to my dr for the cold or flu but anything related to asthma or diabetes they refuse to cover until i've had coverage with them for a full year provided I don't go to the er with asthma or diabetes related issues. What kind of crap is this? Am I ever going to find a company to cover me? And am I ever going to find a life insurence company to insure me or is my rich uncle going to have to pay for me if I god forbid die? Has anyone been down this road?
