A little lost

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes last year. At first I thought I just had the flu. By the time I finally made it to the Doctor my level was 951. Just before that I was diagnosed with phenochromacytoma (don't think i spelled that right). What i guess my first question is how I deal with all of the doctor fees. I have insurance but the co-pays are still adding up. I really am just lost at the moment. I take about 15 pills a day and hope to get that down soon. Glimepiride, Lotrel, Metoprolol, Diltiazem, Metformin, Avandia, Tekterna, Benicar. Not all these are for diabetes but still the same I think it is way to much, but my doctor does not think so.I just do not think the doctor has given me enough time before adding more. Plus now my feet have started to swell more and more which is very painful, and I don't know if it is to much medicine or a down side of diabetes or both. I am all ear if anyone has any thoughts. Thank you for your time.

Wow! 951! I am very glad you were diagnosed. Mine was over 400 when I was diagnosed and then almost 500 after a bad period when I just quit doing anything about it and stopped all my meds (it was during a dark period in my life). My doctor wanted to put me in the hospital but I think I have "white coat syndrome" cuz hospitals terrify me- I was scared to death when I had to have a kidney stone removed with outpatient surgery cuz I was scared to death I wouldn't wake up after being put under. So finally my doctor agreed to just let go home but he wanted to check me the very next day.
