Thanks for the pat on the back:) Believe me, I worked hard with Fiore's book, "Awaken Your Strongest Self" till I overcame a big procrastination issue. So what I had is called "afterburn?" I never knew that. It's noon now and I still feel a bit depressed because I'm tired. I was studying a DVD on trading stocks. Instead, I decided to go to bed a while and then get back to my studies, best wishes always.
Not sure if I have the terminology quite right but that's what I think of it. I have more energy afterwards and feel like I'm burning more calories. If I exercise too late in the evening...I' m wanting to clean house or some such thing instead of going to bed so I can get up for work in the morning. A little bit of exercise certainly gets the oxygen moving through your blood stream and it also helps with depression. Can't help much with the procrastination. I backslide on my exercise habits more often than I wish. I use to have a calendar you couldn't miss hanging on the wall that I'd write on when I exercised. It also served as a reminder to exercise when you saw how many blank days you had going. Just a thought...maybe someone in the group has an idea on how to overcome the exercise procrastination animal.
Also be careful not to lose too much sleep. A certain amount of consistency in eating, exercise, and just general living help to keep one on track and and feeling good. I don't think we ever stop learning with this disease. It's a daily journey. You just learned the effects of exercise on you and now you know how to move forward. Keep at it and keep your chin up.
