Diet/ Overweight/ TED

I say never eat chocolate to recover from a hypo because the fat in chocolate slows down sugar bsorption. That leaves the hypo untreated for too long, and as a result most diabetic's body's will respond by flooding the bloodstream with stored glycogen, leading to a much higher bg soon thereafter, THEN the sugar from the chocolate candy finally arrives and makes it go even higher.

The thing we need to correct a low bg level, aka hypoglycemia, is to get fast acting carbs broken down and into the bloodstream as glucose. Fastest thing is a sugar containing fluid, next is candy, but it's a lot more convenient in most situations.
