Who has a real sensitive spot for this?

I think socialized medicine is inevitable in the US. I wish I was as enthusiastic about it as you are. Please think about the cost to taxpayers before you get so carried away.

Think about how much more competitive our companies will be when they won't be over burdened by health insurance for employees. It would be HUGE. What stops more companies from hiring mostly? BENEFITS. And medical is the biggest part of that. That's what killed our auto industry. Perhaps we could even quit sending our jobs overseas! OH MY! Yes, taxes will have to pay for it, but guess what, we will be taxed no matter what and I don't care who is in office (my taxes went up exponentially during the Bush years)...I'd rather be paying for something that makes sense. I don't want illegals covered, I draw the line there, but then again. I loved it when Gingrich said, do you want government to decide if you live or die? I would have responded, right now insurance companies are making that decision for us. More rhetoric.
