>Lately my blood sugar has been averaging about 180. So I took a fairly hard line to it recently. Let's see what it is this second.189. On the other hand, maybe I forgot to take a metformin and glyburides earlier in the afternoon.<
Your glucose is high enough to be responsible for some of your sleepiness. It can also cause fatigue, and no, they're not always the same. What can you do to remember your meds better? It's as important as exercising and eating right, after all. You could buy an inexpensive watch (wrist or pocket) with an alarm and set it to remind you; that'd help. Cell phones can have that feature, too.
>Anyways, the last few days, I've spent almost all the time sleeping.<
Are you depressed? Do you take anti-depression meds?
>When I tried exercising a little, seems like I couldn't sleep well afterwards for a few days! Tomorrow morning, maybe 5am or so, I intend to exercise about 8 minutes hard. Hard means I exercycle as much as I can for 1 minute, ease off the next then repeat the cycle for 4 times total.<
You've mentioned this way of exercising several times, and I still don't understand the practicality of it. Wouldn't it be better to a) do your level best to exercise every day and b) take a half hour walk? I don't "get" the magic 8 minute thing at all, especially done so seldom.
>I'm supposed to use a cpap machine at night. It was uncomfortable so I stopped using it. I'll begin tonight.<
Sleep apnea can kill you or at least shorten your life considerably, just like diabetes. Playing I-don't-like- CPAP-so-I- won't-use- it with yourself is dangerous at best and could be deadly at worst. Do you understand what happens to your brain when it doesn't get enough oxygen for 8+ hours every day (or in your case more like 18, since you say you're sleeping "all the time")? Srsly, think about it. Not. Pretty. Good luck, Mike. I'm glad you're here and hope you can get a handle on things and feel better real soon. Are you due to see your doc and discuss some of this stuff with him? That wouldn't be a bad idea either.
