If you are having a hard time keeping your numbers in check it might be an adrenal issue. Some people with thyroid disease have adrenal issues. Low cortisol/high cortisol. This can impact your glucose readings. Have you had a morning cortisol serum test done? Another thought is to check if you have autoantibodies messing things up! Have you had your thyroid autoantibodies and/or pancreas autoantibodies checked?
Not sure if I've had that checked or not. In the past I have had tests showing I might have some kind of autoimmune problem but nobody could ever pinpoint exactly what it was. I tested high for Lupus a few years ago. One reason I thought it might be the medication was that by the 4th week on 25mg of Synthroid it seemed my numbers were back to what I was expecting. Then when I started 50mg the next week everything went haywire again. So, I thought maybe my body just needed to "adjust" to the medication. Over the past few years I have felt like a walking drug store so you would think my body would be used to it. Just kidding. Thanks to everyone for your ideas, suggestions, support, etc.
