Amount of Calories Plus How Many Carbs

First, to All you Dads, gram pas, future dads I hope you had a nice Father's Day,
Now to my question. For most products they give you amount of calories plus how many carbs, for example Nabisco chewy granola bars, 1 bar is 100 calories and 17 carbs plus protien is 2gram etc. Anyone know how the "experts" figure it out (or break it down) The other day my husband picked up one of his weaknesses (A cinnabon) I know from a weight watches view one cinnabon totals tthere total of intake for almost two days, and for us the only thing healthy is the cinnamon (yeah right) anyway if someone could let me know how they break things down I would appreciate it, if noone knows that be fine too I was just curious, have anice day.

Protein and carbohydrate each have 4 calories per gram, and fats 9. Theoretically, allowing for rounding error, then, add four times the protein and carb count to nine times the fat grams, and you have close to the calories shown on the nutrition label.

Most of us, especially if we need to lose weight, find that we have to watch both carbs and calories. So that cinnabon would be too much in both...A half cup of almonds, on the other hand, might be within the carb count allowed for a meal, but has 800 calories. If you are as nutty about nuts as I am, that might be okay as the whole meal, but it wouldn't be balanced and I don't think there's enough protein. (And if they were salted flavored nuts, I might not be able to stop at half a cup.) Something like fruit juice or jelly beans could be low in calories, but too high in carbs (depending on one's individual tolerance.) Does that tell you what you wanted to know, or have I totally misunderstoodthe question?
