Went up to 152 after dinner: Need help with BG levels
I would try eating 1/4 cup red beans instead of 1/2 cup and then either some lettuce or green beans or broccoli to make up the meal. The lentils are a good food to eat but because of their carb content you don't seem to be able to manage the quantity you ate. Maybe some cheese on the Broccoli or cauliflower might increase the fat content of the meal and slow down the rise too. Experiment don't just write a food off without having a go at finding a combination you can manage it in. All foods have some value in them by avoiding foods we limit where we can get our vitamins and minerals from.
We all limit our foods by personal preference to start off with. I can't bring myself to like the fatty fish such as herrings and Sardines, others (including my dogs which is why I buy them) love them. They smell OK but I'd rather take a vitamin pill I think.
