I got laid off in April of this year and my medical card ends this month I dont know how i am going to keep my doctors appointments, get my medicines, etc..... - anyone have any suggestions?
I can't help you with ideas from doctors, except check with your local community. The county I live in offers free and discount insurance, depending on income. Pfizer medicines has a great plan (free) for a lot of their medicines. I am able to get glucotrol and lyrica for no charge. (based on income and family size)
Lilly medicines also has the same. I am able to get Cymbalta (for the feet tingling/neuraphath y) at no charge. It is also based on income and family size. Abbott which makes medicines as well as test strips, has a great program for the strips. They send you a card, and I am able to get a box of 100 for $15 per month.
Sorry, I don't have the links in front of me. They are readily available, if they are googled.
