Diabetes: Retinopathy

Well went in for an exam Friday due to a left eye hemmorage. The doctor is waiting until next friday to see if blood dissolves before working on that eye, but he did photocoagulation (laser therapy) on the right eye. It was painful. He did say we caught the retinopathy at the right time ( I don't have any vision loss). He said there may be some "narrowing of the vision field" due to the surgery but so far I haven't had anything new go on, just an achy eye. Whole lot of things to deal with in one day-seems to be the way it always happens. Last August I got diagnosed with diabetes and had a heart attack all in a span of a few hours so I rest my case. Good grief! However since then my A1c had gone from 12 to 6.4.
