Makes you wonder if obesity is the real disease of diabetes. Yet there are thin people who are diabetic. Take off the pounds and at some point you don't need meds and your blood pressure and all retreat to the normal ranges. Obesity is a strong variable. But diabetes is a unique thing at the individual level or in list jargon IMMV. Like byetta, baric surgery is expensive in the USA. Considering how difficult it is to lose weight for most people, one would think that the surgical way out is the easiest if you can afford it.
