The thyroid problem is affecting my fatty liver disease which

That's what my doctor told me about the dosage too. I started on 25 mg and I'm on 50 now. She also told me that the thyroid problem is affecting my fatty liver disease which I got from taking steroids and other meds for a severe case of shingles 7 years ago. That's also what led to me being high risk and getting diabetes and I got avascular osteonecrosis which caused the bone in knee to die and I had to have 2 surgeries and knee replacement. That was from the steroids I' m in the 1% that can't take steroids but you don't know that until it's too late. So this thyroid thing is affecting both of my previous health problems might as well laugh about it--sure beats crying and it could always be worse. You know that saying about how if everybody threw their problems in a pile that you would probably take your own back there' s a lot of truth in that. Almost everytime I go to my doctor I see someone who is a whole lot worse off than I am. When I was first diagnosed with avascular osteonecrosis, I was in a wheelchair or on crutches for about 3 months so I'm thankful every day that I'm able to walk. Sorry that I rambled on there.
Thank you, Janeen, for your information. I appreciate your help. Hope you can keep your thyroid and everything else in line. Ever feel like you're walking a tightrope? Too much stuff to try to keep in line but you'll manage! Hang in there and I'll try to also.

I was diagnosed hypothyroid BEFORE by about three years being diagnosed as diabetic...One of the first things my endo said to me was, "Its' going to be very difficult for you to keep your numbers under control because of the hypothyroidism". I am on synthroid - I'm hoping you didn't get put on a 'high' prescription right off the bat - you should start low (25mcg) and work your way up to final - which will take awhile to adjust.. and hopefully (believe me when I say, 'hopefully') it won't take too long for you to find the correct balance...so yea, I'd say you'll be walking a tight rope for awhile - join the club.....and keep a sense of humor - you'll need it. I told my endo that I could eat the exact same thing every day and get DIFFERENT numbers every day - she agreed with me - I said that doesn't make any sense - she agreed with me there too - said "you're diabetic, it doesn't make any sense". I've really wondered how you are supposed to keep stuff in balance when even the doctor thinks your bod is nuts LOL.
