Say, where do you list-sibs keep your test strips? I've been keeping mine in the bathroom - is that wrong?
I keep mine on a shelf in my bedroom closet - the temp in there is fairly moderate even in very cold or very hot weather. I've never kept them in the bathroom because I'm concerned about the moisture being detrimental to them, but then, I've witnessed - and lived - the results of strips left out in an extreme for four hours, and the strips were not affected at all. They were in my car for four hours in the dead of winter, in temps in the low 20s, and I was prepared to have to lose the entire vial, but I did several random comparison tests over the course of several days, with that vial and a new vial, and the results were so close as to be almost identical.
I don't know how moisture would affec them; it's not something I'd deliberately choose to do, but that's my choice. As I said, I was very (pleasantly) surprised to learn how stable they actually were in the cold, which is far more extreme than what would be present in the bathroom. Still, for keeping them at home, is there a reason why you're choosing to keep them there? Is there somewhere else you can keep them safely?
