Diabetes: Supermarket deception

Minced meat in Australia doesn't have any preservatives and it states so on the packaging however it has very limited shelf and fridge life so you need to buy it and use it immediately. Have no idea what happens to solid meats. I find the quality of meat better at our local butcher who is still allowed to kill his own meat and so I only buy meat in the supermarket if it is reduced or on special etc for the dogs. Even if it has something in it I wouldn't like it is still better than the tinned dog food where I can't control any part of the product.

However I am staying at our daughters and I have quickly discovered that we are very time poor and convenience has a higher priority here in the city where one has to drive distance to get to shops than I have at home where the shop is only minutes away plus I am retired and no longer go to paid employment.
