When a procedure seems to be the panacea for an ill, a huge industry grows up around it. Millions are made from the insurance companies who then of course, pass the cost along to us shmucks with premiums, copays, deductibles, etc....
So now what of the docs and facilities that relied upon this procedure? well, they gotta find another one, right?
