I see that since last saturday no one has answered so you may be feeling a bit discouraged, let me share my story with you. I have been reading a book called "Where Did All the Fat Go" by Dr Huizenga of The Biggest Loser TV show and doing his program and I am finding my blood sugars in almost normal territory, and I'm just getting started.
You may be saying don't they exercise for like 4 hours a day on that show. Well, Dr H found that with 2 one hrs exercise sessions a day people could get about the same results as those who exercised 4 hours a day, now you might be thinking 2 hrs, well, I haven't made it to 2 hours yet, actually I have been working up to 1 hr more like 35 mins the first week, 40 the second, and this week was 45, next week 50 and the weight is starting to fall away, and I have also lost 2 inches on my waist!!! The only elevated blood sugar is fasting but even that is gradually coming down. I am still using 800 mg morning and night of Metformin, but I am fully expecting to reduce and eventually eliminate it. I had read that exercise was as Metformin for controlling blood sugars and I am finding it to be true. Especially in the early stages of diabetes.
Newly diagnosed 43 M...overweight /233 pounds,185 cm tall, is decreasing weight + alotof exercise improve my condition? 2 months ago my Hb1c was 8.2 I heared cinnamon, funnygreek ,ginseng, chromium etc etc...can help with diet...any ideas?
